2/21/21 SESSION IS ON!
We are so thrilled to confirm that the 2021 MYSL Ski Season will begin this Sunday at 1 pm at the Highland 9 hole golf course!
1797 Edgcumbe Rd
St Paul, MN 55116
Skiers will not report to a central location this year for check-in. Instead, please consult the map attached. Parents are encouraged to park or drop off their children at their meeting place - we will have signs out each week to avoid confusion of where each level meets.
For the first session, the asks are quite simple:
1. Make sure you know where all your gear is! Many of you picked this up months ago. Be sure your skier has not only their ski gear, but appropriate warm clothing including warm socks, roomy gloves and
1A. The gear must include a face covering. Skiers without a face covering will not be allowed to ski. While we cannot require masks, we strongly encourage a substantial face covering for anyone present on Sunday to protect yourself and others from any potential spread of COVID-19.
2. There will be no snacks or water at the end of practice - we encourage all skiers to bring a water bottle and any post-skiing sustenance they'll need. We sure hope next year we'll be back to passing out oranges at the end of red light, green light.
3. Plan on an hour for the first practice. We'll try to give target times for each week, but Sunday is just about getting back on the snow and figuring out logistics. We don't want to overwhelm skiers or parents with an intense lesson to begin, since doing this with COVID/social distancing protocols is a new ask for everyone.
3A. If your skier is in Level 1, a parent or guardian must be present for the entire practice, and Level 2 chaperones are strongly encouraged. If we do not have parents out there to help their youngest skier, practice becomes impossible with social distancing, and coaches lack the ability to be close to other skiers due to COVID risks. If this is not possible for you, please let us know ASAP.
We are so grateful for warmer (but not too warm!) weather and the beginning of a season that's already been delayed far too long. If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll do our best to answer.
See everyone Sunday!
