Happy mid-December! I'm writing with an update on equipment pick-up and expectations for early January.
Equipment Pick Up
I'm pleased to announce an update on rentals! If you ordered rental skis for your little skier, this section is for you.
I'll be picking up our club equipment on Sunday, December 27th. Here are the skiers who will receive skis/boots/poles (only level 2 gets poles):
Melania M.; Everly S. Harold R.; Tyrus B.; Elliot N.; Beatrice R.; Sebastian M.; Mirza I.; Willa M.; Lenore R.; John R.; Everett R.; Alden S.; Chloe K.
I will be in front of Kenwood Recreation Center with your pre-ordered equipment from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 27th. If you cannot pick up your equipment at this time, please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or text me 612-730-9795 to arrange to pick your equipment up at my home at a different time.
p.s. If it's cold I may be inside my maroon van in the parking lot.
January Expectations & Ski for Fun Packets
At this point we expect to be 'virtual' in January and in-person in February. That means you should definitely get out as a family on your skis! Give it a go! I will connect with parents and volunteers in a virtual gathering mid-January, date/time TBD. Meantime, all families can expect to receive an update in early January with our plans, and ....
NEW! This year, due to our limitations on in-person sessions, we will be providing a Ski for Fun Packet in early January. The packet will include a hat for all first-timers, a buff for everyone, bibs, and some fun surprises.
More to follow on when/where to pick these up! I'll be in touch again in early January.
I am still looking for volunteers to help support our young skiers and our NEW club. Be fearless! Raise your hand!
You can be a coach/volunteer/helper without ANY ski experience. We just need a few more folks to step up to help run the program smoothly and support our young skiers.
Please email me to let me know if you're willing to be my hero.
