Battle Creek Equipment Return
Hello Battle Creek Club,
It seems like it was a different lifetime that we were all together skiing and enjoying hot cocoa. I hope you are all hanging in there with this dramatic change to all of our lives.
If you have Battle Creek Rental Equipment you have two options:
1. You can drop it off anytime on my front patio at 1427 Osceola Ave. There is a green tub for the boots. Please leave the skis and poles in the corner.
2. If you do not feel comfortable leaving your house right now you can leave the equipment outside your house and send me your address. Henry (my oldest) can come and get it.
When you turn in equipment, please remove the name labels from the skis and poles. Also, it's super helpful if you rubber band the skis together (at the tips and tales) and poles together (handles and above the basket).
We need those back if you have not turned yours in. I have a tub outside on my front patio (1427 Osceola Ave.) for those too! I will leave the tub outside for a couple months. And again, if you'd like Henry to come pick up your bib, please email.
PINS AND SKIER ASSESSMENT
If you were not at the last club meeting and your skier did not get their skier assessment card and level pin those are ALSO on my front patio!
These are super challenging times for all of us. I'm not going to sugar coat anything. However, I hope you have been able to get outside into the fresh air. I am grateful that I can still run, although I'm now running alone or with my kids instead of friends. My family has hiked on the trails at Battle Creek, where it is easy to socially distance. I encourage you, if you feel safe, to take a hike as a family somewhere you can be a safe distance away from others.
Be well everyone. I am already looking forward to hopefully being on the other side of COVID-19 next winter, embracing the lifelong sport of cross country skiing, and enjoying our community.
Hang in there,
Battle Creek SkiSparks
