Adventure Ski and Lighting a Spark for another Child
Well, one this is for certain....we will have snow for our Sunday Ski! I am still planning to be at Battle Creek from 2:00-3:30. Whether we will be able to drive there, or have groomed trails is another story. Perhaps we will all need to ski there, which would truly be an adventure. For those of you who participated in the K counter, I will be there with your K-counter pins!
Rental Return -- stay tuned. I'm changing the date on this so we can all continue to enjoy the snow.
Speaking of Rental Skis -- Did the MYSL equipment rental program help your family get involved (and stay involved) with XC skiing? Did our low membership fee encourage your to discover this sport? Pay this forward with a donation to MYSL! https://mysl.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=6

Thank you to all our MYSL families. Through our club format, we are not only building skiing families, we are building social connections, healthier communities, and joy in the winter.
Your engagement and enthusiasm has built a successful, volunteer driven organization. We couldn’t do this without you!
MYSL membership grew over 25% this winter, proof that we are filling a need. The research is clear: getting kids outside and active not only benefits them physically but also emotionally, academically and socially. Providing the highest quality experience is of the utmost importance to us. Right now, MYSL is at a turning point. We are growing by leaps and bounds. To meet the demands of communities we are asking for your financial support.
The Need: Keep Barriers to Participation Low
Low membership prices and providing easy access to high quality equipment is key to engaging communities in cross country skiing. This season, we welcomed over 1,000 new skiers statewide and struggled to keep up with the huge demand for high quality rental equipment. We know our low price point is attractive and welcoming to families entering the sport.
Your contribution will help insure MYSL can keep membership prices low and expand our club rental program. Help reduce financial barriers to healthy habits and skiing.
The Need: Increase Organizational Capacity
In order to reach children throughout the region, advocate for cross country skiing, and address new initiatives and challenges facing the sport, we must grow our staff and volunteer base. As we dream of the next steps for MYSL, increased staff and living wages are essential to keep our organization sustainable.
Your contribution will help us reach new communities, weave climate change awareness into our programming, allow us to advocate for snow making, be a leader in youth endurance sports and spark health, joy and a love of skiing throughout the region.

Let's bring more health and joy to kids! Thank you for your support.
See you on Sunday at Battle Creek!
