Fleece hats for first year participants
There is no charge for fleece hats for first year skiers. When people register there will be a box to check if they are a first year registration. The information will be provided to you when you download the club member information. Hats are generally given out at the first club meeting, but can be passed out when its most convenient for the club. If people lose their hat and want another, you can sell them one for $15 and forward the money to MYSL. Please contact Chrissy to order your hats for the year. These are provided to your club free of charge.
MYSL designed bibs
Each skier receives a bib each season (to be turned back in at the end of the season). The pocket fits a standard index card, which can easily be found in colors to correspond to the skill levels. Before the start of each season, write the name of each skier on an index card (as well as group, if desired) and put the card in a bib. Some clubs put adult contact info on the back of the card. If you are in need of more bibs, contact Chrissy. These will be provided to your club free of charge.
Metro clubs – please write the name of your club on the front of the index card under child’s name and include club leader contact information on the back. This will help when more than one club is at a site at the same time if a skier gets separated from their group.
At the end of the season, collect all of the bibs for use next year. Please remove the index cards for summer storage as ink can bleed onto the plastic leaving a permanent mark.
Each club receives bibs for their coaches that come in six colors and correspond to the different skill levels. These bibs are sized to wear over jackets. They are the same size and material bibs that the Birkie uses for volunteers. Please your order for new coaches bibs with Chrissy before the start of the season.
Coaches and junior coaches should wear bibs when out on the trails with their group. This helps other skiers be aware they need to ski around the group and makes it helpful for parents who are looking for their child’s coach. These are provided to your club free of charge.
