Looks like another great 2020 winter season around the corner!
I would like to extend a bit of thanks ahead of time for all those that made the Central MN Youth Ski Club great, including the following:
The Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club skiers who are eager to learn new cross country ski skills while having lots of fun along the way.
The volunteer Assistant Coaches from Tech, Apollo, Sauk Rapids, Sartell and Cathedral High Schools, as well as Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club parents that helped in this role. Without you, this club would not be possible.
The parents who take time to sign their children up for the Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club, get them ready and bring them to club each Sunday.
The parents who volunteer to provide snacks and take pictures throughout the season. If you have any pictures you still have not shared with the Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org and/or post them to the club's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CentralMinnesotaYouthSkiClub/
The Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota volunteers that made snow at Riverside Park early in the season and will groom snow throughout the season. Without their efforts, we would not have had enough snow during most of the season to cross country ski.
The member volunteers of the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota have been the reason for the Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club being able to cross country ski at Riverside Park this past winter due to their excellent ability to raise funds to cover the cost of making snow at Riverside Park. Likewise, the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota has an agreement with the City of Saint Cloud to provide the water used to make snow. Snow making and grooming equipment has been purchased by the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota, which is operated by a dedicated crew of volunteers who maintain the cross country ski trails at Riverside Park and the Saint Cloud Reformatory property. This past winter, they have made snow at Riverside Park, which not only made the Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club lessons and games possible early on, but also provided a location for local high schools to practice and race, as well as location for the local community to cross country ski and enjoy the sledding hill. Special events, such as the upcoming 13th Annual Sons of Norway Barnelopet to be held at Riverside Park on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. is made possible due to the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota’s snow making and grooming volunteer efforts.
The Central Minnesota Youth Ski Club thanks the volunteer members of Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota for all that they do to make cross country skiing a possibility in the Saint Cloud area!
Consider becoming a member of Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota to help support these efforts and make some great friends along the way. Visit http://www.nordicskiclubcentralmn.org/ or come in person on Monday, October 8, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota's annual membership meeting being held at the St. Cloud Public Library, St. Cloud, MN. Get inspired for the first snowflakes to fall and hear about new opportunities to get us all skiing. Members will provide desserts!
Thank you all for you generous efforts this past and upcoming season!
