Jan 21, 2018 Staring Lake Park - West Entrance 1:30

We will be back on the lake at Staring Lake Park in Eden Prairie this Sunday, January 21st.

Location: Staring Lake. We will meet at the lake near the West Entrance parking lot on 14695 Staring Lake Parkway (same location as week 1).

Time: 1:30 – 3:00 pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign-in, get ski bibs on, and meet your ski groups and coaches.

Battle Creek Announcements, January 18

Hello Battle Creek Families,

What a winter wonderland we were lucky enough to ski in last weekend! The snow was falling, the kids were challenging themselves and learning a lot of new skills. Please read through this entire email. Important announcements about this weekend are throughout the email.

LOCATION FOR 1/21

MYSL Wirth Will Meet This Saturday, January 13, From 3:00-4:30 PM.

Please bundle up. Parents should stay close to younger skiers and take them back to the chalet if they get cold. Some levels may end early if kids are too cold, so parents should plan to stay around the area if they aren't out skiing.

Battle Creek Announcements, January 11

What a great day we had at Battle Creek last Sunday! The weather was perfect! I saw so much improvement in just one day as I skied around and chatted with different groups. It was great to see so many smiling faces and cheerful attitudes. We have about 15 spots left at Battle Creek. Let your friends know they can still register at mysl.org and join in on the fun!

Masters World Cup Opening Ceremony

MYSL youth are invited to be flag bearers for the Opening Ceremonies of Masters World Cup in downtown Minneapolis on Friday, January 19. The Masters World Cup is an international cross-country skiing championship for skiers over 30 years old in which participants compete in three individual races with the opportunity to compete in a national team relay. We are looking for 35 kids (with chaperoning adult) to attend. Ceremonies begin at 6pm at the Hyatt Regency (1300 Nicollet Mall) and we ask that flag bearers be there by 5:30pm.

Week 2: January 14, 2018 New Starting Location

We will meet at Staring Lake at the Cummins Grill house lot in Staring Lake Park (13800 Pioneer Trail).

Temperatures will be around 10-15 degrees F.

First Day of Northfield MYSL!!! Please read

Hello Northfield MYSL!

We're excited to get going, Sunday, January 7, 3:00 PM, at the Carleton Arb office.

Please especially for our first day:

1. Meet at the Arb office! See the map on the Northfield Club page.

2. Come dressed to go out. We will ski!

3. If you haven't yet picked up your rental gear, please come at 2:30 pm to pick it up and try it on.

4. Please, no poles first day. One less variable. Yes, even for the upper levels.

5. Parents are welcome and even encouraged to stay for the whole day, on or off the snow.

Battle Creek Announcements, January 6

Hello Battle Creek Families,

A couple quick announcements before tomorrow.

1. This year our community/snack room will be in a different room in the Rec. Center. We will be in the craft room. You can enter the Rec. Center at the main doors after the kids are done skiing and follow the rugs to the craft room.

MYSL Wirth will meet this Saturday, January 6, from 3:00-4:30 PM.

Our first meeting is this Saturday. Groups will meet under the large oak tree outside the main Wirth Chalet. Temps look good this weekend. Trails are open. Think snow!
