2020- Ski Club Overview

Welcome to the first MYSL ski club at Willow River State Park. We are excited for a new season filled with fresh air, friends and lots of skiing. For those new to the club, here are a few things you need to know:

Battle Creek SkiSparks Announcements -- 1/2/20

Hello Battle Creek Families,

The snow conditions at Battle Creek are great! We are all looking forward to being together and skiing in this beautiful gem of a park on Sunday.

Please read through the following announcements carefully. Its very difficult to get out information in person on Sundays, so I will try to provide information beforehand via email.

Battle Creek SkiSparks Announcements -- 12/29/19

Hello all!

Welcome to another year at Battle Creek SkiSparks! I will be sending more information out in the next couple of days, but wanted to get the initial information out now.

The 2019-20 Season Is About To Begin!

The 2019-2020 MYSL Hyland Sunday season will start on Sunday, December 29th at 3:00 to 4:30.

We will have Jan's Place open to hand out bibs starting at 2:30PM. Let's ski!

VOLUNTEER MEETING SUNDAY DECEMBER 15 AT 7 P.M.

Our club is full and we need lots of volunteer help to have a successful session!

Parents, high school skiers and other adults willing to assist, please register as a "volunteer" at the tab at the top of mysl.org. A list of possible roles will be available there, and we will be making group assignments in the next week.

We will gather at 206 Winona St. at 7 p.m. on Sunday Dec 15 to discuss coaching assignments and subdividing our level 1 and 3 groups. If you can't attend, please contact northfield@mysl.org to let us know your group preferences.

Winter 2020 Eden Prairie MYSL

Skiing in Eden Prairie starts on January 5th! I'm looking forward to skiing with your family at Staring Lake Park.

Adventure Ski and Lighting a Spark for another Child

Well, one this is for certain....we will have snow for our Sunday Ski! I am still planning to be at Battle Creek from 2:00-3:30. Whether we will be able to drive there, or have groomed trails is another story. Perhaps we will all need to ski there, which would truly be an adventure. For those of you who participated in the K counter, I will be there with your K-counter pins!

Rental Return -- stay tuned. I'm changing the date on this so we can all continue to enjoy the snow.

Reminder - March 2 SkiSparks - Races and Award Ceremony

Hi Everyone,

Here's a last minute reminder with details about tomorrow's races and awards ceremony. I'll send out an email with end of season details next week.

The Fishscale Frenzy will begin at 10:30. The awards ceremony will start at 1:00.

We will hand out coach's gifts and level pins for all skiers. Kids who entered 25K or more on the K counter will receive special K counter awards as well.
