Battle Creek Equipment Return

Hello Battle Creek Club,

It seems like it was a different lifetime that we were all together skiing and enjoying hot cocoa. I hope you are all hanging in there with this dramatic change to all of our lives.

EQUIPMENT

If you have Battle Creek Rental Equipment you have two options:

1. You can drop it off anytime on my front patio at 1427 Osceola Ave. There is a green tub for the boots. Please leave the skis and poles in the corner.

Battle Creek Announcements 3/1/20

We will meet today at 2:00 at Battle Creek as planned. It will be slushy out there! The sun will be shining and our fabulous coaches are ready to go. It will be a fun club on skis!

Next week we probably will not have skiable snow at Battle Creek so we will celebrate a fun season with games. Kickball, pole hiking, tag, relays..... If you have some awesome ideas, please let me know! If you can help organize a game, this is a fantastic opportunity to help lead a group not on skis.

Battle Creek Announcements 2/23/20

We will meet again at Battle Creek at 2:00 today. Please get there in plenty of time to get your skis on and be ready to ski at 2:00. With the group skiing further and faster, its hard for us to find the groups that have already left.

Level 1 skiers -- Today is a very exciting day. Poles!!!! Please bring your poles. If your skier was not given poles with their rental equipment, there will be some for your skier to use. You can take them home with you and return them in March.

Battle Creek Announcements 2/9/20

We will have quite a fun, snowy adventure today at Battle Creek! It will be awesome! We will see everyone ready to ski at 2:00. Please allow extra travel time.

Battle Creek Announcements 2/2/20

Hello Battle Creek Families!

Conditions at Battle Creek are holding up fantastically despite the warm temperatures. It will be a great day to get outside and enjoy this amazing winter.

This is the LAST CALL for people who would like to help plan something fun for the last ski session on March 8. Please email me (battlecreek@mysl.org) if you are able to help plan something fun or find me in the snack room after club.

Adventure Ski and Lighting a Spark for another Child

Well, one this is for certain....we will have snow for our Sunday Ski! I am still planning to be at Battle Creek from 2:00-3:30. Whether we will be able to drive there, or have groomed trails is another story. Perhaps we will all need to ski there, which would truly be an adventure. For those of you who participated in the K counter, I will be there with your K-counter pins!

Rental Return -- stay tuned. I'm changing the date on this so we can all continue to enjoy the snow.

Battle Creek Announcements 2/22

Hi all,

The skiing is fantastic and we have been fortunate to have blue ski to go with it! Let's get outside and use our new skills and enjoy this winter wonderland together!

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24 -- Battle Creek 2:00-3:30

This Sunday, February 24, will be our last formal meeting. We will start at our regular time of 2:00. At the end of your group time, snacks will be in our community room. All skiers will receive their level pins on this day when they come in for snack!

At this point we are planning on skiing at Battle Creek (Yeah!!!) this Sunday from 2:00-3:30 (Yeah!!!). Please check your email on Sunday morning with a confirmation of this plan. If it will be raining at 2:00, we will cancel. But for now, please plan on having a beautiful, WARM, ski on our home trails. of Battle Creek.

Battle Creek will meet on January 27, Hyland, 4:30-6:00

Battle Creek SkiSparks WILL be meeting tomorrow at Hyland from 4:30-6:00. The temperature is forecast to be around 7 degrees and the snow will start falling just as we are finishing up. Let's grab this chance to get outside and breath the fresh air before the big freeze sets in!

In colder temperatures please follow the MYSL clothing guidelines summed up like this:

Hello Battle Creek Families,

A quick message to let you know that we will again be skiing at Hyland Park Reserve from 4:30-6:00 this Sunday, January 27. I am keeping a close eye on the weather. It looks like during our club time the temperature will actually be rising and the snow will be moving in. We could potentially be skiing in a winter wonderland!

I will send out full announcements tomorrow. Until then, keep up your snow dances and record you Ks on the K counter!
