2.15.12 RACE SUMMARY: The MYSL/Hoigaard’s Team Sprint Series celebrated a fitting conclusion to the brown winter with light “snowfall” at Theo Wirth Park tonight. 24 Teams raced with the majority in the Parent/Child Championships with a longer format 2k for adults and a shorter .3k for youth. The track at Wirth was in great shape even after a bit of rain in the late afternoon and was extremely fast and conditions made for an exciting race. The Father/Son Duo of Corey and Torsten Brinkema were the fastest combo, with fastest overall family of 4 going to The Bednarski family. Paul and Maria Schoening were 3rd overall and fastest Father/Daughter Team.

Gold, silver and bronze K counter awards. Kilometer goals vary by club (but the standard is 100k/50k/25k). Count your kilometer online and get your pin!!

And, skiers get a pin corresponding to their level. Just the thing for your MYSL hat!

To log kilometers, click on your club page (select "Clubs" from the menu bar) and then follow instructions to log in.

Get out and ski!

Erik Reinnika, level 1 at Wirth: I coached with Eric and he was at every lesson, even though he has no kids in that level. He was able to improvise and always had good feed back, and was a pleasure to work with.

Jon Dicus, level 3, Wirth: I coached with Jon last year and he was well organized. I didn't coach with him this year, but my wife gives him high marks for keeping the kids well entertained and playing great games.

Mike Nali and Tom Shaw, Wirth: They continue to impress with their dedication and year after year of coaching.
