Detroit Lakes Make-Up Days Announced.

I absoultely hate to cancel again, but we keep getting these blasts of icy air on Sundays! The temps are currently well below zero with a wind of about 15mph forcing the windchills into the -30 range. However, I have announced some make up days due to all of these weather cancellations so you can still get your time in on skis!

I will send a letter as well with the following information, but here it is for now:

Since we have had to cancel several Youth Ski League meetings due to snow, cold, etc.  I would like to hold a few make-up days to still give the kids the opportunity to ski! The kids have been doing so well I know they will all be able to make it through the first Youth Ski Level by the end of the season. Make Up Sessions Announced:Sunday February 1st: Make Up Lesson 2:30-4:30  Sunday, February 8th: Make Up Lesson 2:30-4:30 &Evening Ski with Polar Fest Event(Details still coming… 7-9pm Candlelight Ski at Dunton Locks) Also: Parents, if you have skis I encourage you to bring them now to our meetings since we are going to start going on the trails & extra supervision of the kids will be extremely helpful as they get spread out on the trail. Walking on the ski trails is not allowed- it ruins the trails.See you next Sunday! Hopefully we won’t have any more weather cancellations… but you know our Minnesota winters!-NikkiNcaulfield01@hamline.edu or 218-234-5938 (cell)

One more item: January 11th is a full moon. Go out to Maplelag Resort for some evening skiing in the moonlight. It's quite beautiful and an absoulte blast!!

PS- It's a good thing we cancelled on Sunday... we tried skiing for a little bit that afternoon and ended up with some frostbite! Yikes!
