Willow River Park The following is best sung out loud as you dance around the room. "We are skiing at the park tomorrow, we are skiing at the park tomorrow, we are skiing at the park tomorrow!!" Seriously, we get to have our first day of skiing at Willow River State Park tomorrow, January 29th. Bring a pair of 'rock skis' if you have them. Remember to plan ahead if you need a 2012 park sticker, and remember to bring a mug for hot chocolate. Be happy, because "We are skiing at the park tomorrow!!"
Welcome to the MYSL at WILLOW RIVER STATE PARK in HUDSON, WI! WILLOW RIVER 2012! Coming off our biggest year ever we are excited to make the upcoming season even better. Look for more trails, more costumes, more games and more fun in our 20th year!! We meet just outside of Hudson, WI at Willow River State Park on Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. beginning on January 1st and ending in late February. Register on-line at www.mysl.org, select "Registration" from the top menu and then follow the instructions, selecting Willow River Youth Ski Club, of course. 2012 Wisconsin State Park stickers are required on all vehicles; they are available in the park office right now. Plan to come early on Jan. 1st to purchase stickers if needed, register, ask questions, etc. We will meet regardless of snow conditions or temperature; the activities will be planned according to the weather. Please bring your skis even if there ís not much snow. We manage to get on skis even when there is no snow in your front yard. Children should be dressed and ready to ski when they arrive at the park. Please have at least one parent from each family join us each week - your ski skills won't be an issue and your child(ren) will gain a better appreciation of skiing as a lifelong family activity. Children under 7 years old must have a parent with them on the snow. Volunteers are needed for both coaching and support roles. As our club grows, additional volunteers are the key to the continued success and affordability of this program. Please check off a volunteer category when you register, or call us to see what ís needed. Coaches receive instructional materials, and enthusiasm is more important than advanced skiing skills for most of our coaching positions. We will also need shelter parents and coordinators for a few special events during the season. Questions? Contact Tim Miner Willow River MYSL Ski Club Leader 612-703-8482 |
