Welcome to the Giants Ridge Silver Ski Club !

This club has been reorganized and is going on its 2nd year.  We are a group of skiers interested in learning some fun competition and racing skills. 

Silver Skis is primarily targeted at experienced skiers at or beyond level 5 who are interested in improving their endurance and learning some race level skills. Race participation will be supported but not required. Our main goal, as always, is to have fun! Generally the ages for this group are 10-14 years old. Skiers must belong to one of the regular MYSL clubs in order to participate in Silver Skis.

Location:  Giants Ridge Timing Building.  Sundays, 2 - 3:30 pm.  1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21.  An occaisional low-key, fun race with other clubs to be determined.

Registration: 2pm on Sunday Jan. 10th.  Fees are the same as the Giants Ridge Youth Ski Club.

Weather and cancellation policy:  Cancellations due to extreme cold weather / windchills will be announced via email or phone calls.

Equipment:  Equipment is provided on a first come basis. The Mesabi East Area Nordic Ski Team may also have equipment to use.

We will be using both skate and classic technique so please plan to have equipment for either technique. Combi boots and combi skis are OK but two pairs of poles really a necessity so you have the right length for each technique.

Volunteer: Have ski race experience?  Come join us!  

Parking and other fees: Ski passes are required and included in the fee.
